Death Note - Episodes 1 To 37 - English Subtitles (Torrent By -- R --) 3

Death Note is a 2007-2008 Japanese anime television series based on the manga of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The series follows high school student Light Yagami, who decides to rid the world of evil using a Death Note dropped on Earth by an unknown extraterrestrial being. The notebook kills anyone whose name is written in its pages upon contact with them, giving him or her heart attack or aneurysm, depending on their age. The story mainly centers around power struggles over the notebook between Light and various investigators who are trying to stop him while he also manages to see off various gangs of criminals that try to threaten him. The series explores the conflict between good and evil, as Light's plans to eradicate evil are opposed by those trying to stop him. The death-note that drops on Earth has three rules written in it: 1. One shall not kill 2. One shall not write people's names in the "Death Note" without their consent. Death Note is based on a novel written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata under the pen name "Color Country". The manga was serialized between December 2003 and May 2006 in the Japanese manga magazine "Shōjo Comic", before being released into five separate volumes of tankōbon format between November 2005 and September 2006. The content of the storyline remained mostly unchanged from the manga, although the pacing of the story was changed and certain elements were left out. Ohba and Obata had created Death Note prior to serialization, as a one-shot story idea. The concept of the notebook was something Ohba thought of before and wanted to create a story about someone who can kill his enemies by writing their names, but he could not decide on a hero for his story. He eventually created two characters in order to decide which would be better suited to be the protagonist: Light Yagami or "Kira". Ohba said he chose Light because he wanted "to see how humanity would change with its good side removed. "Ohba said that at first, the series would be "all about" Light Yagami. However, as he drew the series he added more characters which led to him developing them more. He found it difficult to create character designs for these characters with most of them being high school students with simplistic designs. As Ohba developed the story, the central theme became "the conflict between good and evil". Death Note was also inspired by Yōji Iwahara's manga series "Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service", which has a similar premise of students fighting over a corpse that can grant wishes. The manga for Death Note was first licensed for an English-language release in North America by KC Productions, LLC dba VIZ Media, who published the series in their "Shojo Beat" imprint. The first volume was published on October 12, 2006. When Shueisha announced the artist change for the main characters introduced in volume 4, VIZ included this information in their December 2007 issue of "Shojo Beat", which shipped on November 13, 2007. Before the change was announced, the Japanese license holder Shonen Jump had already announced that Takeshi Obata would be replaced by Tetsuo Ueda as artist starting from February issue of Shonen Jump 2008. eccc085e13
